To promote Application of Space Science and Research, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was requested to establish a Research Centre in Guwahati. This was the outcome of the interactions meeting held on 4th of October, 2018 at Guwahati among Former Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon'ble S & T Minister Shri Keshab Mahanta and former Chairman of ISRO Prof. A.S. Kiran Kumar.

• Academic collaboration for R & D specific to the Region
• Facilities and support for Local Capacity building and outreach activities
• Data Analytics Laboratory
