The Assam State Space Application Centre started functioning with an objective to develop Remote Sensing Techniques and its applications in the state and to provide training and consultancy services to the user departments of various government and non government sectors. ASSAC has conducted training to impart and spread awareness in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS. ASSAC also offers Internship of short and Long duration for a period of 2 months to 6 months. ASSAC facilitates internship program for graduate and post graduate students of various colleges and universities across India. Our centre has provided internship facility to large no of students since its inception in various ongoing projects which helps in building the capacity and capabilities of the individuals. Student working in real projects have an insight of the contemporary RS & GIS work and face various challenges and get the opportunity to work both on Desk and in field to have a better understanding of the GIS & RS work.
