• Develop Remote Sensing Techniques and their application for Natural Resources Management in the State.
• Provide training and services to the user agencies
• Act as Partner Institute in various National Missions initiated by National Natural Resources Management System(NNRMS) of ISRO
• Generate resource information both in spatial (map) and non spatial( attribute) forms using Remote Sensing & Geographical Information System(GIS)
• Develop Web and mobile based decision support system.
• Facilitate real time Project Monitoring System.

ASSAC has been providing its services to various line departments, other government institutions, universities and colleges, non government organizations, public sector and private sector institutions by carrying out customized project and by providing consultancy services and raw data/processed products such as satellite based thematic maps, action plans, attribute data, and geo-database at nominal cost. The geospatial database developed by ARSAC is increasingly becoming an indispensable tool for decision-making process for the Line Departments in the State while drawing perspective management plans as well as to prioritise actions. ARSAC is working in synergy with the Line Departments for taking up customized projects catering to their specific requirements.

The Line Departments of the State have been approaching the Centre for geospatial database of natural resources developed under various projects. Digitisation, Generation of Maps, Action plans, Thematic layers, GIS work, Training and R&D are some of our Products & Services. However, the proper methodology of data flow from ARSAC to users is yet to be streamlined with adequate provision of law and government notification.
